Design and rate together

Pack architecture and line capability were developed together rather than sequentially. A design that cannot be built at rate is not a cheaper design, whatever the BOM says — so the anode line constraints fed directly back into cell and pack decisions.

What it took

Scaling tenfold is not the same process running longer. It meant re-examining the process steps, the equipment, the handling and the quality gates, then designing a line that holds yield at the new rate rather than one that merely moves more material.
